Minnie Bear

Today we received the sweetest gift in the mail from Fiona's cousin Genevieve. The package contained Minnie Bear, a beautiful custom Build-A-Bear made by Genie in Downtown Disney during her visit there last month. Minnie Bear has a hat that lights up pink, and she plays a recording of Genevieve singing "You Are My Sunshine" to Fiona. Genevieve told her mom that she wants to bring Fiona to Disneyland, and that she misses her very much. Needless to say, there were tears from this proud auntie. What a wonderful cousin. I love to think of the two of them growing up together, with Genie teaching Fiona important girlie skills and Fiona calling Genie up for advice on boys. With Genie having a military mommy and daddy and us moving around for Brian's job, that bonding might have to happen over Skype, but we'll definitely make it work <3
